The official state bird of Texas is the Mockingbird. But it could be argued the true state bird is the Grackle. So I decided to make a t-shirt design about it. This is a fun side project I did that the site cotton bureau picked up and ran. It’s based on the historical “Come and Take It” flag that every Texan knows and loves. Add in a Grackle, which is well known for its attitude and skill at stealing tortilla chips and you have the perfect symbol for state pride. The shirt was a big hit.
These are some reminder gifs I built on Instagram and Facebook.
